First-episode psychosis: Part 2 – treatment approaches and service delivery Over the last 15 years there has been an increase in the number of clinical services specifically for first-episode psychosis (FEP), notably early intervention in psychosis teams. However, people are often unclear about why specific attention has been focused on FEP.

In this second module in a series of two, we will look at:

the specific treatment approaches for FEP

the outcome and heterogeneity of the first psychotic presentation

the service models for early intervention in psychosis and the evidence for the effectiveness of these models.
