Dr Cunningham is a consultant in palliative medicine with a special interest in ethical issues in end-of-life care. In 2006 she completed an MSC in healthcare ethics and law, graduating with a first class honours.  Her dissertation discussed the use of palliative sedation in the terminally ill.
