Learning outcomes:
By the end of this module we hope you
will:
- have greater awareness of signs a colleague has a
substance misuse problem and be able to comment on the level of the
problem
- be aware of vulnerability factors increasing the likelihood of
addiction
- know the common substances giving rise to problems in doctors
and the course such problems can take
- be able to describe your professional, legal and ethical
responsibilities in such cases
- be able to describe the sources of help and advice for yourself
and colleagues and the typical routes into treatment
- discover what further training opportunities are available
through the GMC.
