Epilepsy is a common neurological condition with wide-ranging
neuropsychiatric manifestations. Its relationship
with psychiatry has been recognised for centuries, however,
the range and extent of neuropsychiatric comorbidities is
only now beginning to be recognised.
The recognition and management of neuropsychiatric conditions in
epilepsy can be challenging. In this module, we look at the common
neuropsychiatric manifestations of epilepsy and how to manage them.
We also look at the management and assessment of patients
presenting with non-epileptic fits.
