Learning outcomes
By the end of this module we hope that you will:
- be able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of
protecting patient confidentiality by applying your
understanding to particular cases;
- be familiar with the key principles of confidentiality, some of
the ethical arguments for the protection of confidentiality and
some of the legal context;
- be aware of the main situations in clinical practice where
specific confidentiality issues arise and how these should be
addressed.
