Effective use of the internet in psychiatry

by Dr Louise Theodosiou

Sufring the netThis module will help you to access and evaluate resources available for psychiatrists on the internet. It will:

  • provide an overview of the different types of information available, looking at both the types of sites which contain key information and the sites which require a more critical evaluation

  • provide advice for guiding patients and their families in the use of the internet.

As well as guidance on accessing and evaluating websites, important ethical dilemmas and legal considerations about using the internet are considered.
